The Portsea Competition Team Committee is excited to announce the appointment of our new coach for the season, Ironwoman Courtney Hancock.
Courtney is Australia’s leading Ironwoman winning multiple Ironwoman titles at the Australian Championships, and other individual World and Australian titles in open competition. She has won multiple Australian and Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain Professional Ironwoman Series titles (2011, 2013 and 2014). When Courtney won the Coolangatta Gold in 2011 she became the first person in the history of Australian Surf Sports, to win the ‘triple crown” of elite events (within the same calendar year). She has also been a member of the Australian High Performance team for many years and this has seen her compete in Germany, Japan, South Africa and New Zealand.
As part of our new coaching partnership, Courtney will take a number of training sessions over the summer and provide our competition team members with personal training and competition advice. Courtney will be joining us on the 26th and 27th of October to conduct training for our competition teams at Hampton Surf Lifesaving Club for the following times:

Sunday 27th October: 10am – 12:30pm Juniors, 12:30 – 2:30pm Youth & Seniors
To celebrate this new coaching partnership and officially launch the Junior Competition season we are having a cocktail party in Portsea on Saturday 28 December from 7-11pm. This is open to all Portsea club members and also to HLSC Comp Squad members.
